On 13.04.2012 at 11:00 hrs, Mr. Nevzat Bejta, the Minister for local self-government, visited the municipality of Studenicani familiarizing with the ongoing activities and projects which are currently implementing by municipality.
Minister Nevzat Bejta, Mayor Fati Iseni and Head of the Centre for Development of Skopje region Aneta Lozanoska attended the launching of the preparatory activities for the reconstruction of local road Dracevo-motel Kitka or the second stage of reconstruction of local road section from the Gorno to Dolno Kolicani, total length of 600 m.
At the same time, Minister Nevzat Bejta with representatives from the municipality of Studenicani and Center for Development made insight on completed first phase of the reconstructed section at Gorno Kolicani, in length of 1,100m.
During the visit, the Minister emphasized that the Government and the ministry will assist in full implementation of the Law on balanced regional development, and also expects concrete results from the efforts for allocation of one percent of the state budget for the regions.
“Gross domestic product which is predicted by the law one percent must be distributed to the region. If laws are decentralized and funds are decentralized, and they are not manage neither by the Government nor the Ministry of local self-government, but will be manage by the Centers of the regions “, explain the Minister of local self-government Mr, Nevzat Bejta.
“Now remains the Infrastructure around this new section which is of great importance for connection of nine inhabited places in the area of municipalities of Studenicani and Zelenikovo, and significant improvement of infrastructure for tourism development,” said Aneta Lozanoska, Head of the Centre for Development of Skopje planning region.
Reconstruction of local road Dracevo-motel Kitka is financed with funds from the Government of the Republic of Macedonia according the Programme for Regional Development 2009/2010, totaling about 9.5 million. The project is implemented by the Centre for Development of Skopje region in partnership with municipalities Kisela Voda, Studenicani and Zelenikovo.
