Constituent meeting of the Council for development of the Skopje planning region

On November 27, 2017, in the premises of the Economic Chamber of Macedonia, a Constituent Meeting of the Council for Development of the Skopje Planning Region was held.
The session was opened and led by the Mayor of the Municipality of Gazi Baba, Mr. Boris Georgievski. The Mayors from the Skopje Region, the Deputy Minister of Local Self-Government, Mr. Dejan Pavlevski, and the State Secretary in the Ministry of Local Self-Government, Mr. Kiril Partalov, attended the session.
At the session, the mandates of the members of the Council for development of the Skopje planning region were verified and a decision was made for the establishment of a Council of the Skopje planning region. The Mayor of the Municipality of Gazi Baba, Mr. Boris Georgievski, was elected unanimously at the Constitutional Session for the President of the Council of Skopje Planning Region.
The term of the President is 2 (two) years, with the right to re-election.
