Project activities for preparation of Strategy for development of tourism in Skopje region has started

Project has been financed through bilateral international development support from Republic of Slovenia dedicated to developing countries, and is implementing by Center for development of the Skopje region in cooperation with Regional development  Agency Kozjansko, Republic of Slovenia.
First working meeting of the Project Board was held today. The Project Board consists of representatives’ form the Skopje municipalities and the City of Skopje, from Skopje region, the Agency for support and promotion of tourism in Macedonia, HOTAM, Ministry of Economy (sector for tourism) as well as the representatives from the Chamber of tourism of Macedonia.
The meeting determined the time frame for implementation of future activities, preparation of strategic documents and operational plan (including recommendation for concrete development projects from tourism area and tourist infrastructure until 2014), preparation of public forum and round table.
The strategy for development of tourism is preparing by consultant company “Inceptum” from R.Slovenia with administrative and expert support by ”Humanopolus” from Macedonia.
