Implementation of project "Filling the gap of administration and leaders in public organizations to maximize the benefits of ICT solutions" in the Skopje region

The project objective is to improve the operation of public administration, through education of staff for use of ICT solutions with aim for faster and quality service. Through ICT training, managers and employees in the civil service will be more competent, competitive and equipped with skills that are needed to contribute to increased quality and improved productivity. The program is in line with the needs of the civil service and the intention to reduce “the gap of ICT use” to increase employee performance.
The first phase includes successfully monitoring of the course iExec, which is developed from CISCO, by employees and advisers of three municipalities of the City of Skopje Municipality Kisela Voda, Municipality Karposh and Municipality Center. Total 38 participants from the municipal administration will benefit from attending the program.
The second phase includes construction of a business study that will be a real ICT solution for the municipality, where the best two solutions will be awarded with $ 1,500 which will be used for implementation. They will enable faster and more efficient operation of the municipalities, which will lead to better communication between public and private sectors, and also contribute to bringing the country closer to European and world practices.
In view of the fact that the Information Communication technologies are getting in every aspects of social and business word, public services are facing the challenge to decrease the bureaucracy and the acquisition of greater transparency in their operation.
The project commenced in April 2011 and it will ended in November 2011, and it is expected the awarded solutions to be fully implemented.
According to the Programme of Skopje region , YES Foundation operates in the area which encourag the entrepreneurial spirit and support for young people in their idea to start their business in Information Communication Technologies. The ultimate goal is to improve the economic situation in the country, reducing unemployment and the development of information society.
