On 15.09.2015 organized by the Ministry of Transport and Communications and the Ministry of Local Government held trainings for employees in the relevant departments in the municipalities of Skopje planning region on topic Implementation of the Law for Construction Land and the Law for urban development planning.
Representatives of the Ministry of Transport and Communications through professional presentations of participants employed by ELS detail exposed them to new legal changes and solutions and the introduction of software systems that need to achieve delivery of local services with better qualoty, which are in the interest of citizens and legal entities.
The training was implemented at the request of municipalities for timely and accurate information on the adopted laws and their further application in practical work lokalnite governments.
Particularly important is the promotion of electronic tools in the implementation of legal decisions themselves, specifically the introduction of the “e-urbanism”, which according to the new Law on Spatial Planning, each drafting and adoption of planning documents referred to will be conducted electronically. Regarding the Law on Construction Land presented the procedure concerning the sale and long term rent of land owned by the Republic of Macedonia through public bidding.
The event is conducted by the Center for Development of Skopje Planning Region and funded by the Ministry of Local Government and UNDP. It was opened by the State Secretary of the Ministry of Transport and Communications Issues, Bozidar Petroski, State Secretary of the Ministry of Local Government, Biljana Cvetanovska Gugoska and the President of the Skopje planning region, Sokol Mitrevski.
Representatives from ELS from Skopje planning region and the City of Skopje as well as employed in departments for urbanism, public works and municipal building inspection were present on the trainings.
Ministry of Local Government and the Ministry of Transport and Communications, in cooperation with the Centers for regional development in the future will continue to implement specialized training of this type in order to respond to the needs of other municipalities in the country.
