Workshop on connecting the community for enhanced social inclusion in regional development

The Center for Development of the Skopje Planning Region, within the project “Sustainable and inclusive balanced regional development”, implemented by the Ministry of Local Self-Government and the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation, begins with the implementation of the activity “Capacity building for social inclusion in regional development”. The activity aims to strengthen the capacities for identification, preparation and implementation of regional development projects, especially in relation to vulnerable and socially excluded groups in society.
For that purpose, a workshop was held at Hotel Arka to connect the community for enhanced social inclusion in regional development. At the workshop, through a presentation of a local expert, the manner of preparation of socially inclusive projects for regional development was presented, what it should contain, the connection between social inclusion and regional development, as well as local and European Union regulations, etc.
Within this event, the employees of the Center for Development of the Skopje Planning Region were awarded certificates for realized training on the topic: “Development of capacities for social inclusion in regional development.”
